A lion cut includes a nail trim, ear and eye cleaning, a bath, blow-out, and a comb-out.
There are many variations of the classic lion cut, allowing you to choose the size of the mane (trimmed short, medium, or left long) and the amount of fur left on the tail (full or pom pom style) to suit your preference and your cat’s comfort.
In some cases, a lion cut may not be recommended due to a cat’s age, health, or temperament. When appropriate, it can be an excellent solution for severe matting, overheating, hairballs, and dander-related allergies—plus, it looks adorable.
