Current Vaccination/Veterinarian Information

By signing this agreement, owners certify that their pets are current on Rabies. Proof of Vaccination must be provided to Posh Cat Grooming Co prior to the first appointment, along with proof of a veterinary examination within the last 12 months. Special circumstances may be considered. Owners acknowledge and understand that even fully vaccinated cats may still contract illness and agree to hold harmless Posh Cat Grooming Co and its members should their cat become ill.

Aggressive or Dangerous Cats

Owners MUST inform Posh Cat Grooming Co if their cat(s) bite(s), have bitten, or display aggression toward people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Air muzzles may be used when necessary. Posh Cat Grooming Co reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services to such cat(s) at any time before or during grooming and/or apply a Special Handling Fee in addition to the regular grooming charge if the cat is extremely aggressive during the grooming process.

Health or Medical Problems and Senior Cats

Grooming procedures may be stressful, particularly for senior cats or cats with health conditions, and may reveal hidden medical issues or worsen existing ones during or after grooming. Due to the increased risk of injury or death, these cats will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort only, using styles that minimize stress. In the best interest of your cat, this agreement authorizes Posh Cat Grooming Co to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment if deemed necessary. All Veterinary expenses will be the responsibility of the cat’s owner upon signing this agreement.

Previously Discussed Grooming Styles

Previously discussed grooming styles may not be completed due to your cat’s health or temperament. Such decisions are made in the best interest of the cat to prevent injury or undue stress. Owners remain responsible for payment of any services performed in place of the originally discussed styles.

Matted/Tangled Cat

Dematting or detangling matted hair may result in patchiness or hair loss. Consent to remove matted hair is given with this understanding. Shaving will significantly alter your cat’s appearance, with hair clipped very close to the skin, potentially exposing pre-existing skin conditions for which Posh Cat Grooming Co is not responsible. Removal of mats, whether by shaving or dematting, can be stressful and may aggravate stress-related health issues. Severe matting and/or pelting will result in an additional surcharge based on severity and time required. A fecal removal surcharge and/or biter surcharge may also apply.

Accidents

There is always a possibility that an accident may occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although extreme care is taken, incidents such as cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of nails may happen. These incidents often occur when a cat is moving or resisting. Owners agree to hold harmless Posh Cat Grooming Co, its members, and employees if a cat is injured due to dangerous grooming behavior.

Hold Harmless Agreement

By signing this agreement, you (or your Agent) agree to hold Posh Cat Grooming Co, its owners, members, operators, employees, officers, and directors harmless from any illness, damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of your cat(s), whether known or unknown. It is understood that the terms of this agreement may change at any time without notice and will supersede all prior agreements and releases. This clause applies to all cats groomed. Posh Cat Grooming Co is not responsible for allergic reactions of any kind.
Owners must inform Posh Cat Grooming Co of all health problems, past or present, before or at the beginning of each visit.

Appointment Day

On the day of your cat’s appointment, the groomer will notify you of any delays in arrival time. Please allow a standard one-hour arrival window. Notification of arrival will be provided at least 10 minutes in advance. Cats must be secured in an appropriately sized carrier prior to the groomer’s arrival.
If your cat is not in a carrier, the groomer will wait a maximum of 20 minutes before rescheduling the appointment. A cancelled appointment fee equal to 30% of the scheduled groom price will be charged and must be paid immediately.

Cancellation Policy

Last-minute cancellations prevent Posh Cat Grooming Co from filling appointment slots and result in lost income. To better serve our customers, the following cancellation policy applies. Appointment reminders will be sent 48 hours in advance. Please confirm promptly or notify us if rescheduling is needed. Failure to respond, resulting in a missed appointment, will incur a late cancellation fee of 30% of the scheduled groom price.

Cancellation Fees and Non-Sufficient Funds Check Fees

48 hours or more notice – no fee
Less than 48 hours notice – 30% of the scheduled appointment price

After three cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, services will no longer be provided.
If a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, you agree to pay Posh Cat Grooming Co the full amount of the original check plus a $20.00 non-sufficient funds fee without delay. An invoice will be sent by email and is payable upon receipt.
